The Association of Local Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (ALCUCOA) held its 32nd Capability Training Program from April 29 to May 1, 2024, at La Carmela de Boracay, Boracay Island, with the theme "Relearning Outcomes-Based Education (OBE)." The event brought together 70 academic leaders and professionals to discuss strategies for enhancing quality assurance and innovation in higher education.
Renowned speakers, Dr. Rene Colocar and Dr. Lucila Calairo, shared insights on topics including Design Thinking, Constructive Alignment, and OBE Implementation in ASEAN, focusing on aligning curricular programs with OBE standards, monitoring learning outcomes, and adapting to the evolving educational landscape.
This training program inspired collaboration among participants and encouraged the integration of transformative practices in local colleges and universities. ALCUCOA’s initiative reaffirms its dedication to advancing quality education and global competitiveness across the country.
